Grier Dirtworks is a family-owned and operated, licensed and insured underground utility contractor serving Springfield and communities throughout Southwest Missouri since 2010.
What started as a local excavation company has grown into a full-service underground utility contractor with experienced crews, specialized equipment, and the capability to take on projects of all sizes.
We specialize in horizontal directional drilling, hydro excavation, vibratory plowing, trenching, excavation, and underground utility installation. Our crews regularly work alongside utility companies, general contractors, municipalities, and other trades to keep projects running safely and efficiently.
Since 2010, Grier Dirtworks has continued to grow in our people, equipment, capabilities, and the services we provide. Our goal is simple: to be the one-stop underground utility contractor our customers can depend on from start to finish.

Brendan Grier
Growing up on a rural Missouri farm, Brendan was fortunate enough to have land to farm and enjoy. What started out as dozing dirtbike tracks as a kid has developed into running a successful full scope excavating company. His hard work ethic, attention to detail, and budget concious mentality is what sets his businees apart from competitors.
Craig Cotton
Craig has been working with underground utilities his whole professional career. It comes as no suprise that he does fantastic work, and loves what he does. His tenacity on taking on tough projects, and finding the best solution helps to push our business further while improving processes and procedures.
